Ponad osiemdziesiąt restauracji, barów, kawiarni i pubów w Bedford i najbliższej okolicy zgłosiło się do uczestnictwa w programie „Eat Out to Help Out” czyli w rządowej formie pomocy branży gastronomicznej w dobie koronawirusa. Wśród nich znalazł się m.in. Soprano Kebab House.

 

 

 

Eat Out to Help Out – co to jest?

To inicjatywa, która ma pomóc gościom w powrocie do restauracji, kawiarni i pubów oraz tym samym ochronić 1.8 mln osób, które właśnie w tych miejscach wykonują swoją pracę.

Program oferuje 50% zniżki na posiłki oraz pozbawione alkoholu napoje. Można z niej wielokrotnie skorzystać w każdy sierpniowy poniedziałek, wtorek oraz środę. To oferta zarówno dla dorosłych, jak i dla dzieci – należy jednak pamiętać, że maksymalny upust na jedną osobę nie może przekroczyć £10.

Przykład:
Małżeństwo udaje się do restauracji, gdzie zamawia dwa drugie dania i dwie wody niegazowane. Rachunek za całość wynosi 30 funtów. Zniżka na jedną osobę w tym przypadku to £7.50. Para zapłaci zatem jedynie £15.
Jeśli jednak to samo małżeństwo zdecydowałoby się na bardziej rozszerzony posiłek, obejmujący np. zupy i deser, a rachunek za całość wyniósłby £80 – para na koniec musiałaby zapłacić £60, chociaż to tylko 25% zniżki. A to dlatego, że maksymalny rabat to £10 za osobę (£20 za dwie).

Warto także widzieć, że upust dotyczy tylko tych osób, które przyjdą do restauracji i faktycznie zamówią dla siebie posiłek oraz napoje. Zatem, jeśli owemu małżeństwu w restauracji towarzyszą np. teściowie, którzy nic nie wybrali z menu – zostaną naliczone dwie, a nie cztery zniżki do £10.

Należy pamiętać, że zniżka będzie naliczana automatycznie – nie trzeba zatem posiadać żadnego kuponu, kodu, itp. Program nie określa także maksymalnej kwoty, którą możemy wydać na jedzenie i picie w kawiarni, pubie czy restauracji.

Eat Out to Help Out – informacje dla biznesów

Zainteresowani programem właściciele restauracji, barów, kawiarni czy pubów muszą po pierwsze zarejestrować swoją firmę do dnia 31 sierpnia.

Mogą to zrobić miejsca, oficjalnie funkcjonujące przed lub w dniu 7 lipca 2020, które sprzedają posiłki do spożycia w swoich lokalach i które oferują swoim gościom własną lub dzieloną z innym miejscem część jadalnianą.

Z powyższego jasno wynika, że programem niestety nie zostaną objęte bary z jedzeniem na wynos (takeaways), kateringi, food trucki czy hotele oferujące jedynie obsługę pokojową.

Po prostej i natychmiastowej rejestracji, firmy otrzymują swój numer, który będzie następnie potrzebny do zgłoszenia się do rządu po zwrot kosztów.

Biznesy mogą również skorzystać z bezpłatnych materiałów promocyjnych, aby dać znać swoim klientom, że biorą udział w inicjatywie – nazwy firm wraz z adresami zostaną umieszczone w wyszukiwarce programu na stronie HMRC.

A potem pozostaje już poczekać do 3 sierpnia i rozpocząć oferowanie zniżki.

Po zwrot kosztów można będzie się zwrócić co tydzień, do dnia 30 września. Pierwszy taki wniosek może być wysłany po 7 dniach od rejestracji. HMRC rezerwuje sobie do 5 dni roboczych na dokonanie zapłaty.

Wszystkie miejsca, uczestniczące w „Eat Out to Help Out”, muszą wciąż uiszczać VAT, na podstawie pełnej kwoty rachunków swoich klientów. A wszystkie otrzymane w czasie trwania programu środki – będą traktowane jako dochód podlegający opodatkowaniu.
